No, really, it does.

I can sit in windows all day long, no issues at all. Play a 3d game (COD2 for example), and it can vary from 5 mins to 2 hours and the PC will at some point just turn off, almost as if the power has been cut.

I have no idea what is causing it :(

Possibly some sort of self preservation? Is the game causing a temp to rise above the threshold that has been set in the BIOS for it to force a power off. If indeed your BIOS has this option.

Nope, nothing is overheating at all, and nothing appears to be over/under volting.

System Spec:

Abit AN8-SLi
A64 X2 3800+
1GB Corsair XMS3200 PRO
2x Gainward 7800GT's
2x Samsung Spinpoint 80GB HDD's
2x Pioneer DVR-111D DVD-RW's
TerraTEC TV Card
Hiper Type-R 580W PSU

Try running memtest. If that passes leave prime95 running overnight. If that passes try removing one graphics card, one HD and both optical drives to see if it could be a PSU issue (unlikely on a hiper 580W but possible).

It has already passed memtest, not tried prime95, but it seems stable with SuperPi.

Can try one video card, but not one HDD (RAID array).

Might be a simple solution, are you using an extension lead? It could have a loose connection or its just faulty, try a different one on it if so :)

Right, its still doing it.

Tried with one graphics card... same issue.
Tried formatting and only running 2 out of 4 HDD's... same issue
Tried with one graphics card on new formatted system... same issue
As above + Powering GFX card from another PSU... same issue

This doesn't appear to make any goddamn sense now :(
