Hello all,
So, my pc became unresponsive, no lights, nothing.
Tried a different psu, still nothing, returned the mobo which went back to the manufacturer and they gave me a refund.
Bought a new motherboard, had it a week and now almost the exact same symptoms! Though the lights on the bottom of the motherboard are on, there's no response when I press the on button.
Trying another psu givens the same response.

Anyone know what's happening? Am I just unlucky? Could a psu be Killing it? I'm lost

Maybe loosened front panel connectors came loose or the case button is problematic. Have you tried starting the PC directly from the front panel connectors using a screwdriver?

I didn't try directly connecting them, but I did re-seat at the connection. I'll try directly connecting
I don't think your board is dead I think it's more likely your RAM.
Hmm, I'd be sceptical as I tried without the ram plugged in and still nothing, so beeps etc, just unresponsive

Of course it would do nothing with the ram not plugged in how is it going to work with a core component missing?

I would clear the bios ( by removing the cmos battery ) for 30 seconds or so. I would also tripple check the front panel headers. It could even be a faulty button on the case, try to bridge the power buttons with a conductor ( i like to use a screwdriver across the two pins to boot motherboards outside of cases. )

Well every pc I've used will beep, usually quite loudly, if there's no RAM.
Whereas this is being completely dead.

I've cleared the bios, no change.

I'll try starting with a screwdriver
