Help! PC only turns on for a split second.

Just in the process of making my new pc, at the last hurdle, but when i press the power button, everything turns on (leds, CPU cooler, etc.) but then turns off again? The thing i think it might me is all the little power switch cables and stuff (have Z77_ D3H (?) and Phantom 410) Ill try to post a picture of the arragements i got them in, please help!

Did you forget the EPS12V connector?

Is the power switch sticking on? Easy way to test this is to short out the relevant Power switch pins with a metallic object such as a bladed screwdriver.

Didn't think of either possibility
Would never of thought to check power switch.

the power switch on the 410 needs a good push sometimes

First build? Were you almost in tears as you fit the CPU cooler? LOL my first build it snapped into place and I filled my pants.

Tealc was right. One of the simple things.

I did some cable management on mine a couple months ago. Finished up and all was good for a day and it just shut off.. I hit the button and it ran fine... for another day and click, shut off again. Hit the button and all was fine again.... until I bumped case and it died again. Opened it up, reset all cables, before turning PSU back on I checked the mains cord and guess what??? It wasn't plugged in tight.

Luckily there was no damage.
