Hello

I have had a build with a

ASUS P5K Deluxe
2x1GB Crucial Ballistix 6400
Corsair 620W
BFG 8800GTX OC
E6600 w/ AC7Pro

for around 1.5 years...today I set the system up with a new LCD screen, it worked fine, turned it off. When I turned it on, no signal from the monitor (or any other monitor I tried), no beeps, there were lights at the front of the PC and the case fans were running, but GPU and CPU fans were not moving.

Tried resetting the CMOS, removing RAM, nothing seems to make a difference.

Does anyone have any ideas what I could do? I am tempted to think the problem is the motherboard - especially since the GPU/CPU fans arent spinning up but the rest are - and plus the board I have is a replacement of another I had to RMA as it stopped working (although that time, the CPU/GPU fans would spin up at least).

Thanks for the replies. I dont have any spare parts to test in the system to try and isolate the problem but can I assume it probably is the mobo?

Since the board is 18 months old do I have any hope of an RMA from OCUK? I have read that ASUS RMAs are utterly useless and people often are left without a board for 6+ weeks after sending them off to Europe only to have the same one returned to them.

OK an update....I have managed to plug the PSU from another PC into my motherboard (just the 24 pin main supply and the 12v supply).

The CPU then started up and the GPU squeeled as I would have expected it to!

Does this mean the Corsair PSU is at fault? Bear in mind when I start the system with the Corsair PSU, the case fans and HDs power up, just not the motherboard...
