Hello chaps,

In need of some help!

Got back from work and went turn on my PC but nothing happens. No sign of life at all.

Ive tryed trying a different kettle lead but that didn't work. ive tryed a different plug socket and that didn't work so im sort of stuck. Theres no smell or any sign of damage in the case so i have no idea what it could be? Maybe a faulty turn on switch??

Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks. Spec is in my sig.

Well i tryed it with a paperclip and the fan didn't come on, so im guessing its the PSU?

Would appear so. What is the make/spec of your PSU? Is there any way you could 'borrow' a PSU from a friend maybe? Do you have any local PC shops that might be able to test for you?

Ckeck the fuse in the plug.

If that's OK, and the paperclip trick doesn't work, it suggests your PSU has had it.

OP has already tried a different kettle lead and a different plug socket. But it wouldn't be a bad idea to double check the fuses.

Hey guys,

Its a Corsair HX 650W. I do have a couple of local pc repair shops near by so i think ill take it down and get them to test it to make sure. thanks for the help.

How long have you had it? I think you can send it back to OcUK if it falls within 12 months, anything after its Corsair but don't quote me on that.
