I'm looking to buy a 27" monitor and have quite a few candidates.

Samsung P2770HD

Asus VE278Q

BenQ G2750

HannsG HZ281HPB

ViewSonic VX2753mh

Iiyama ProLite E2773HDS

Looking to narrow down my choices.

My current monitor is a 24" 1920x1200 Gateway. I wanted to try and keep 1920x1200, and the only option for that is the HannsG. My budget can't stretch far over £200, and I accept quality is not the strong points of these monitors.

Thanks guys

The Hanns G is pretty decent actually, I have one. It can be had for close to 200 quid if you shop around. However, there is an affordable 24" Dell with the same resolution that will get you a much sharper picture and a nice IPS screen. If I had known that I would not have gone for 1200p on a 27" screen, as they are really meant for a higher resolution than that.

so you'll end up with two monitors?

24" 1920x1200
27" 1920x1200

??

I think it would make more sense to have

2x 24" 1920x1200

I think I'm going to pass it on to a family member and just keep one screen. My GFX card is ageing a bit and probably won't handle 2 x 1920x1200 that well.

I think my decision is coming down to the Asus VE278Q or the Iiyama. The HansG while offering the resolution I use has terrible response time in tests.
