Help picking a gpu

Currently have an fx8350, 8gb corsair 1600mhz, 600 watt corsair cx600m and getting an asus M5A99X EVO R2.0.

I need help on getting a graphics card. I'm torn between the 290 or 290x (I've heard they're very similar. ) if I could have some advice on what to get (even nvidia) I'd appreciate it. Thanks a lot

Is the 290x a big improvement over the 290 or are they practically the same? Don't mind going up a bit.

It's just for high end games not benchmarking. I was planning on getting the wind force gigabyte. Why would it bottleneck btw ? I am somewhat of a novice at this.

Nope. I know what you mean though, tried rift which isn't multi thread and was getting 40 fps on medium. Which 290 would you recommend? I hear they have heat issues etc. Also is my psu good to stay?

What's the differences between the two? From overclocking or not overclocking. As in, is the Sapphire worse overclocked or

Okay. That's amazing help Thank you so much. I do plan on overclocking as I also purchased a corsair h80i but sadly cannot afford that psu aswell. Do you think mine will work okay as long as I don't overclock til I get a new psu?
