Hi all

I am after a HSF for my HTPC, I have been running the stock cooler and it keeps temps reasonable it has an annoying buzz to it which I have found it the fan. So being a htpc I am looking for a quieter solution. It only needs to cool a sandybridge i3 and it can't be taller than 150mm. The problem I have it that being m-itx the pci-e slot is right next to the cpu socket so struggling to find a cooler that appears to fit as there is a something in the pci slot. Ideally I would like a 120mm fan on the cooler but looking through I can't see any of them fitting so may have to go with 92mm.

Motherboard question is this one: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-080-AK&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1965

I don't really have a budget, as there isn't many going to fit the bill so I will have to pay what I have to pay.

Thanks for any help.

Looking at the Noctua ones and the one you linked to both appear to be too wide, as while I don't have GPU I do have a card in the pci slot (sata expansion card) The ram is low profile though so any cooler should easily fit over the top. I don't know about the Zalman ones, time to google for some dimensions.

As I said for price, I don't have one in mind. If a quiet good cooler is £10 then great, if it £50 then so be it.
