Help picking a new card and psu

Looking for a new card to replace my 7950 windforce, I have £350 to spend.
The 2 cards I have been looking at are the gtx 970 hydro cool and the asus 390 gaming.
My set up
Asus Titan i7-3770k
2tb HD
16 gig ram
Soundblaster z
500w psu
Gigabyte 7950
And also advice on a psu to go with the asus as its £275 leaving £75 for psu.

7950 C/F is still a very fast option providing C/F is supported in games you use.

If you really want to go faster have a look at the Fury X or GTX 980 Ti but you are looking at £500+
 
Alternately out of the two your looking at the 390 is the best one, its about 40 to 50% faster than the 7950.

Thxs it's what I was think any1 know a good psu too go with 390 gaming as my Titan only has 500w psu have around £75 left.i play ffonline and sto just waiting on Camelot unchained but I do like the look of the hydro cool 970 any body own 1?

Well, I have a GTX 970, not the Hydro but the Gigabyte WF3, they are all broadly similar.... I did have a 290 before it and swapped it out for the 970 after having it for going on 2 years and getting an itch. was not willing to spend £400+ on an upgrade so went for the preverbal side grade 'ish

IMO the 970 is a really nice card, you would not be disappointed with it, its powerful, more than enough for anything maxed at 1080P, its cool and efficient.

The 390 is not as efficient but then its also more powerful, it is again also a very nice card.

I would and do recommend it it over the 970 as you do get more bang for your money, but I say again you would not be disappointed with the 970. :)
 
It's a hard choice ATM I can play most games on ultra with the 390 I'm gona have to change the psu.But I fancy going back to nvidea Any1 recommend a good psu?

I did add a link to the EVGA G1 but looking again at it it has multi-rails which IMO is not so good.

The Antec TruePower are also pretty good https://www.overclockers.co.uk/antec-truepower-classic-650w-80-plus-gold-power-supply-ca-203-an.html again not modular.

I think the best PSU for around £70 to £80 is the EVGA SuperNova GS that i have, its just as shame they are not in stock.

What PSU do you currently have? 500 Watts is ok for the 970, it is pushing it a bit with the 390.
 
Don't get payed till Tuesday so I will be ordering it then glad I married a gaming wife. Just like the look of both card but the hydro cool I really like but if I get 390 that will do for a yr plus a psu change.
 
Just came got the 970gtx iChill HydroCool looks a sweet card should be a good replacement for my 7950oc only have to wait another 23 days.Gave my wife the sweetys but nope didnt work LOL.
