Help picking a new graphics card

Hi all,

I've been out the loop with graphics hardware for a while (since 8800s were the dominant cards).

I currently have a 24" and 19" monitors in dual-screen configuration, and an 8800GTX. Since upgrading to 24", I find that the 8800GTX can struggle at 1920x1200 (e.g. TF2 when lots of things are going on on-screen). I'm looking for an upgrade that will provide a noticeable difference in performance, while being under £200. The ATI cards on offer at the moment certainly look tempting, but I don't know what issues the new cards from Nvidia and ATI might have with games.

Much appreciated if you can help :)

for £200 budget youre looking at either ATI's 4890 or NVidia's 275, there shouldnt be any issues, just make sure you uninstall your old drivers before fitting the new hardware, whether you go NVidia or ATI. Personally Id get this 4890

As said just make sure to uninstall all your old nvidia drivers and there shouldn't be any problems. Would get the 4890 on offer and pocket the difference :)
