Hi, was wondering if someone could post a few builds in the budget of 1.1k.

Its going to be mainly for gaming.

A colour scheme would be appreciated, black and red or blue and something.

Do not need operating system.

Thanks a lot!

The Z97X-SLI boards have a brown PCB so you may want to keep that in mind

Well i was hoping to buy a 1440p gsync monitor but out of the budget

A GTX970 should suffice.

Or if you go AMD Freesync are cheaper.

Ah wonderful. Not getting it for a few days but I really like the second option on your first post. But ill maybe switch the 290x with the 970 as its only a 50 difference. What dya think?

I like the 970 and have personally used some without issue on 1080p and 1440P screens. plus you get a free game at the moment.

The water cooler LED can be made to glow red, so I guess its up to you if you want to spend the extra.

Theres not that many reviews for that particular MSI board, the ones that are out (OC3D for example) are not to favourable.

At least with Gigabyte I can guide you a bit through the BIOS and settings.

If you went with something like the Asus Z97-AR it is basically all black/silver so the white would still work with it

I still prefer Gigabyte like stulid but I think Asus > MSI
