Help please - Cant connect to msn thru kopete (FC4)

Hey peeps, just installed fedora core 4 on my main rig for browsing and chatting pursoses as my windows install has just gotten too slugish due to a million things running on it lol.

i have one minor niggle tho. i cant get kopete to connect to msn. it says password is incorrect. but its not. is there anything i should be checking? can i get another IM tool to connecto to msn and other services?

gaim, comes with FC4/5 and most distro's as standard.

i looked for gaim but no joy, its not on my install *shrugs*

im downloading fc5... might have more luck in that

It might be listed as "Internet Messenger". Just run gaim from a console / run app window.

Check for a newer version of Kopete, pretty sure I remember some one saying they had an issue with msn saying password was wrong and it was fixed in a later version of Kopete.

FC is probably installing an old version..

well i had a lil play around with the new versions and i didnt get anywhere lol. i couldnt even install them so im defo gonna install fc5 when its done. 2:20hours left @ 300kbs
