Ello guys,
May have finally managed to find something not rust ridden and falling to pieces for my first car.

Just wondering if anyone that has access to free HPI checks and wouldn't mind doing one please? Reg is: DN04 KUY

Checked with Owner before and he said that it would be fine but he had a minor accident, says theres nothing recorded in logbook but if hes unsure of wether its categorised or not.

Thanks in advance :)

Went with the Experian one.

Shows as CAT D, been advised that insurance company will insure it as long as I get an Engineer report stating roadworthy and no immediate repairs.

Spoke to seller damage was apparantly front bumper that he's aware of. HPI check shows that the date of writeoff was 20-12-2006 4 owners ago.

First car, probably gonna get bashed up anyway, will get me on the road for a year for a shade over £3k including car and insurance, Tax and MOT til next year on it.

Worth it? Or are cat D's forwned upon?

Seriously, walk away. Not only because its a crap car, but because why bother with a car like that with a bizarre history? You need more than a front bumper to write off a 2 year old car.

Yeah but theres no info anywhere as to what the damage was or how it was repaired :(

Cheap, gets me otr for all in around 3K, can probably get the car for around 1.3-1.5k, suggestions locally for that kinda money? (NE6)
