Hi Guys

Looking for a bit of help, I've been given an old case (Complete with Pentium 4 motherboard and processor etc!) It's an Antec badge 19" rack mount approx 4U in height.

It was purchased for a project circa 2005 and never used, subsequently sat in store room until now! LOL

I would like to identify the case if possible as I would like to use it for a home server and need to ensure motherboard compatibility, PSU compatibility etc.

It had a Antec SL400P 400w PSU fitted but as its not got any SATA power connectors I am presuming its not going to be suitable for a replacement motherboard.

Any help appreciated.

It looks to me as though it fits a standard full size PSU, so its easy enough to change that. As for motherboards, It will be a standard ATX is fine in there. Looks about right. The I/O shields will pop out, and you put the one that comes with your new motherboard.

Looks very similar to : 4U22EPS650

Just with a less powerful PSU.

You guys are great :)

Yes, thats the one, but obviously older and with a smaller PSU!!

I've just started a thread in General about using this case for a Home Server Project, any suggestions/help much appreciated :)

Do you know if I can get additional trays to fit on the cross-brace for extra HDD's? (Currently has one on it)

I'm sure you will be able to find additional tray on a popular auction site.
Adding it will depend on how tall your RAM is, and the clearance you have form the CPU cooler.
you might need to do some measuring.
measure the case to the bottom of the HDD enclosure.
Then stand-offs and height of RAM when installed in the motherboard.

If it fits then you should be able to get in another 3 HDDs.
In the link I posted above there are 2x 80mm fans. I'd recommend getting some as it sounds like you'll need the air flow!

I will hold off until I spec up a motherboard etc then :)

Did a quick search on auction site, wasn't sure what to look for ???

I have got the additional 80mm fans, took them off when removing the existing motherboard.

Thx for your advice!

I did a search on eBay, but couldn't find any of the trays. Not sure what they would be called? tray/cage??

Emailed Antec and they wanted £25 for the last one they have.....

Can anyone else help?
