Help please: Is my PS3 bust?!

No matter whay I do I cant get it online. It says it cannot find an IP address, even though the PC and XBOX have no trouble getting online using the same modem and ethernet cable (not at the same time)

Does anyone have any suggestions please !!!

For starters, give it a static IP. It is highly, highly unlikely you ps3 is bust.

If you can, tell us more about your LAN setup and/or which router you have.

ok whats a static IP ?

I have a cable modem from NTL/Virgin and an ethernet cable from that goes into the PS3, nothing else. It used to work a few days ago I only got it for xmas!

If you switching the cable between your xbox and ps3 you will need to reset the modem each time.

Yeah I just ordered a buffalo airstation to sort me out!

And Gran Turismo HD ? Thats not in the shops is it how do I get that ?

It's on the PSN, go to Games -> Full Games -> (Page 3 i think?)... FREE Download.. But it's only one map and about 10 cars..
