Help please! Just bought Phanteks PH-TC14PE CPU Cooler. Which socket do I put tr screws in for my 39

Hey guys the cooler box says it supports intel lga 2011. But true user guide only has three options for placing the screws:

Position 1 : Lga 1366
Position 2: lga 1156/1155
Position 3: lga 775


Which is the right position for my 3930k?

You don't need the backplate, you use the 2011 screws instead that go straight onto the motherboard.

I did mate the instructions have no mention of socket 2011

The screws I have only fit part way through the board they get stuck half way

Here's a pic. The motherboard CPU plate won't allow them through.

Are you using those screws just below the black spacers in the pic above?

Edit: You're using the wrong screws

Use the small 2011 screws and install them directly into the motherboard from the front.

The instructions will show you, I'd be very surprised if they missed out skt 2011.

sorrted sorry, found them somewhere else. but no instructions for 2011 haha. Thanks mate. got it up and running.
Now running a 4.7ghz overclock. But getting silly temps with intel burn test (mid 80s and 1.38vcore).

check your mounting and make sure to press the two brackets all the way down otherwise the cooler wont be level hence the high temps.
