Help please - memory increase

I have a OVERCLOCKED* Intel Core i5 750 2.66Ghz @ 3.60GHz Asus P7P55D Intel P55 Motherboard Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) PC3-12800C9 1600MHz DDR3 Bundle, purchased Jan 2010.

I need to increase the RAM, just wondering if I would be better off using 2 x 4gb or just getting a further 2 x 2gb.

Don't use it for gaming really, mainly a workstation so just need to make sure it's reliability and speed are unchanged if possible.

You could just get 16gb over two sticks I know it is more expensive but it will handle all you ram needs for the foreseeable future.
