Okay! I've finally gone SandyBridge.
I bought a 'B' Grade OCUK MSi P67 GD65 mobo and a new Intel i3 2120 CPU.
The build went well. The 'B' Grade board was just a board and an I/O shield.
I have plenty of SATA cables lying about so those were put to good use and I am up and running as we speak.
I have downloaded the latest drivers from MSi and installed them.
I run 4 hard drives, 1 x 320 GB, 2 x 320 GB (raid 0), and 1 x 500 GB
The board has 8 SATA ports, 4 of which are SATA 3, however (I worked out after much head scratching
) only 2 of them are controlled by the Intel controller, the other 2 are controlled by a Marvell controller.
I have connected the raid 0 drives to the SATA 3 Intel controller and the rest to the SATA 2 Intel controller.
I did not use 7 & 8 (the Marvell SATA 3 ports)
OK, that's the background! The problem is this:
When I go to device manager I have an exclamation ! next to Marvell 91xx Config ATA Device
and RAID Controller
Everything is working great, I have tried all the drivers and still the ! is there (no driver installed) Help please!!
(Thankyou)
