Help please. MSI Z790 tomahawk Wi-Fi ddr4 BIOS Update

Hi

Currently sat with a usb in the dedicated usb port on the motherboard for flashing the bios. I went through everything in order in the bios screen for the bios update then now I’m just seeing a blank screen and no updating. Too scared to switch off. Any thoughts ? Thanks.

Can you describe exactly what you've done and what you saw on the screen before it went blank?

USB flashback is usually for no compatible CPU flashing and is a different process to a manual update through the board's menus.

If you need to use the flash bios button, this video will help. You should be ok with CPU/RAM/GPU installed.

Make sure you rename the file to MSI.ROM
