Help please - MSN messenger..

My messenger has gone a bit funny recently..

1) I can add contacts, but I can't receive add requests from other people
2) after I've added a contact, MSN auto-blocks them after 10 seconds or so and I have to unblock them
3) all my contacts now appear on my offline list as their email address names instead of their MSN display names

Anyway 2) and 3) doesn't really bother me much, but its annoying when people try to add me on MSN and I don't receive their requests at all.
I've been on the Windows Live Help website for help, googled, uninstalled and reinstalled Messenger, deleted the Windows Live Contacts folder and tried signing on using different computers... but nothing works.

What else can I do? Please help :(
 
Have you checked your computers for viruses and changed your MSN password just incase - http://account.live.com?

Also- export your contacts now just incase they get deleted:
  1. Open the MSN Window
  2. Press ALT to show the menu
  3. Go to Contacts > Save Instant Messaging Contacts
  4. Save them somewhere safe; you can use Import Instant Messaging Contacts to reimport them if you need to
 
No viruses.. I tried to export my contacts but I can't find the option for it. Looked through all the menu options but can't find anywhere to export :confused:
