Now I just need a motherboard to slot all this together, the motherboard should support SLI and have decent overclocking capability. Feel free to recommend some changes to my above proposed components.

My main usage of this machine will be for university work (computer forensic analysis, programming etc;) as well as some gaming in my spare time (newest pc titles) So please spec me a mobo for my above components and make any changes that would benefit it or save me money, thanks :P

Thank you for the suggestions, I was sceptical about getting the 760 due it being cheaper and that made no sense whatsoever but I think I will now. In your personal opinion which ram should I get for my system out of the Kingston/GSkills.

Also Will my graphics card fit fine with the above mentioned motherboards and case. I have a coolermaster case now (similar to 334) with a gigabyte mobo and it was a real job installing my 8800gts (slightly bent the metal on the back, pushed right up against hdd inside)

The Gskill cas7 is the best technically so Id go for that, so long as by time you buy it price hasnt changed, there was quite a premium for it a while back but atm its same price so makes sense to get that
the case youve selected is a bit of a budget case hence it will be small and tight again, if youre wanting more space to work in, and with a reasonably mig-high end set up its better bet anyway due to increased airflow, then as long as you can afford it, spend a bit more on the case, the CM dominator advanced II is quite good at about £65
