Pc graphics will always look better on a PC than a PS3, no problems there =)

As to the graphics cards, at their current prices I could not recommend a GTX480. A powerful card it is, but it is not worth the extra 75-80 quid over the 5870 for another 10% performance and software that is relatively useless gaming-wise (phsyx anyone?)
SLi does scale better than Crossfire, but by the point that you are in a position to buy another GTX480 or a 5870 you may as well buy a new card, the refreshes are due out in a few months, and both cards will last longer than that.

If you were buying a multi-card config off the bat I would suggest Nvidia, but otherwise I would suggest ATI, they are cheaper, cooler and make less of an imprint on your electricity bill

i hope the graphics are gonna look better than my ps3 or ill be well ****ed off haha

High end PC gaming is expensive. ;) You have to keep in mind you're paying a fair bit extra than you really need to run games with decent settings atm, but it should still be quite fast 2-3 years from now.
