hi there guys. bought an oc'd bundle from overclockers a few months ago as old c2d build died. Neways, its definitely been a purchase that ive come to regret. It was initially an unstale overclock, and wouldnt boot when it arrived. i got it stable myself at 4ghz in the end.

Today, whilst at work, my girlfriend turned it on and said there was a cycle of coming to post screen with a 'failed to boot due to failed oc' message. She wasnt sure what was going on so just turned it off at the mains. When this happened to me in the past i would just go into the bios and reload the previous oc settings which always worked.

So today, when i tried to power up after work, the initial gigabyte screen logo comes up, but then before it gets to the post screen, it just restarts. It wont get past the gigabyte screen.

I have taken the onboard battery out to reset the cmos, and also tried booting with only the gfx card, one stick of ram and cpu and every time, exactly the same.

Id really appreciate some help guys. Im desperate and have no idea what to do.

alright guys, bit of an update. good news, i dont think the problem is with the bundle itself.
Spent hours last nght testing. Here are results:

GFX card plus 1 stick of ram at a time = same. No post, constant restarts
GFX card plus no ram = no restart, but no post and no image
Power on with no ram or GFX card = no restart, but no post and no image. Also no beeps(not sure if there was meant to be with this board)
Tried a different PSU = same. No post, constant restarts

So thought i would take everything out try re-seating everything. Placed it onto the static free bag the mobo came in and tried. Hey presto, it booted up, posted as normal. Back into the case it goes and same again.

Clearly a problem with the case. Must be a short somewhere as ive now got it all in an old case and working fine so its not a short on the mobo or anything.

So what now. the current case is rubbish, temps have gone up 15 degrees at idle.

How do i sort out my case(antec 900) and find the source of the problem?

Thanks guys. SOrry about long post:)
