Help please on new PC spec. Witcher3

I brought a new PC with spec below:
Aeon 1250 Gaming Tower | Intel Core i3-7100 3.90GHz Dual-Core, 8GB DDR4, 1TB HDD | NVIDIA GTX 1050TI 4GB Graphic, Windows 10 Home 64 Bit

I looked up the game requirement for Witcher 3 and it does meet the recommended. But when I run the game it's just lagging like nothing else. I even turned all the settings to minimum and still probably get only 5 FPS max. Any idea on why this is? Thanks.

What resolution are you running at?
Witcher 3 is a pretty demanding game, try forcing the resolution down to 720.

I5 is listed as minimum requirement?

Are any other games running worse than they should be? Are you on the latest GPU driver?

yeah, I suspect there's something weird going on in the background, I was able to play it on a Pentium g3260 with a GTX 780 and it was "fine™" a little bit too stuttery to really enjoy because of only having 2 threads, but it was just about playable. The i3 should be a big step up on that, and while the 1050ti isn't quite on par with the older 780 it should be only a handful of FPS behind.

What resolution are you playing on?

Going by this video, are you sure you're not running off the intel igpu? the footage here seems to match what you're describing.

That would explain it yes, check your graphics card is hooked up to the screen and not your motherboard video out
