Help please! Outlook 2011 for mac

My friend has just spent ages inputting hundreds of contacts into Outlook and now it wont load up, it just hangs.

Have tried the usual restart of computer and made sure no other programs are running, also holding shift down at start up but it still will not load.

So does anyone know either how to solve this, or where Outlook 2011 stores the contacts so we can rescue them at least!

Any help is appreciated!

Do you have time machine enabled?
Maybe you could go back to before he added them and restore your mac to that point.

I would try looking in library/Application support. Also the Documents folder has a MS preference folder in.

I would also try reinstalling Office after backing up those two folders.

Thanks for the replies guys, I will look into and hopefully get it sorted - no time machine on the laptop unfortunately!
