Hey guys!
Post on behalf of my uncle,
Can you spec me a system that is the cheapest possible that will run windows 7. Just 32bit will do.

He wants to stick the CPU in a cupboard in the hallway and hook up a touch monitor in another room just to get on t'internet, music, youtube, media etc.
Small form factor is a plus.

Windows 7 is a must cos of all the lovely touch features, and we would just like to see what you guys think are the best components or built system to get,

No need for upgrade potential or performance, just literally acceptable media performance, that's it. And WiFi.

Budget of... say £200 max excluding the cost of windows 7.

Cheers! ;)

True, i just assumed 64bit compatible components are a bit more expensive?

It doesnt matter, the system is literally just for media and internet, wont even be running office programs etc.

Thanks

cool RJC thats what im talking about, thanks for that

just remembered dont need a DVD drive and dont need a case as long as the case he's got fits MATX so thats all good. Actually might not need a PSU either the one he's got is probably 350 or 400W i will check.

Cool, sounds good. Are onboard mobo graphics good enough for windows 7 then? i thought you had to have a directx10 gpu or accelerator etc
