help please, stuck gpu cooler

Hi all, trying to change the thermal paste on my ancient 8600gt, removed the backplate but the front is solidly stuck, will not budge at all. I googled some results, and people suggesting putting stuff in the oven is what came up... Any ideas that won't come up like that guy who cooked his 8800 gtx in foil lol?

Hi thriffles, yes that worked, ran Furmark stress for 2 hours to get to a toasty 79C eek and it came off at last, AS5 applied instead, looking to see some serious improvements
