Yes i contacted my host before i knew it was only virgin media customers having the problem. they said no problems have been reported, server load is low and tracert seems fine (which i believe because everyone on other isp's are maxing connections)

As for how long its been happening for...well i have not used it much since beginning of January (when i used to get 1.1-1.5MB/s quite easily.)

I only noticed it on Thursday or Friday night.

I am just worried that this is going to be the norm, not sure if your familiar with VM tech support but i expect they will get me to reboot modem 5 times, blame my router, get me to format my pc then blame the host.

i am even more confused now...your the first VM person of about 8 people i have asked, getting any more than 50 ish KB/s

I have found someone else having the same problem as me on the vm support newsgroup using the same host too... at least i know its not just me
