Hi guys, recently bought bfbc2 and it wont let me play online? when i click play now, or search for a server nothing happens? There are no games playing apparently! My firewall is off and i have the latest version so i dont understand? yet i am able to play mw2 online?
 
Turn your firewall back on, I hope you don't turn it off whenever you game online.

I'm sure some people with poor taste...sorry, *clears throat* I mean BFBC2 players will be along shortly to help you with this urgent problem ;).
 
If you have a router maybe port forward the game ports even tho port forwarding is for incoming listening connections, you dont normally need to do it when connecting out , its worth a try...ports to forward should be in the manual.
 
Are you able to login when you load up the BFBC2 game?

When you click multi player and server browser do you see anything?

Can you check out all your stats and stuff associated with your logged in account?

Steam or Retail?
Add the BF:BC2 folder and the folder in my documents to exceptions in your firewall.
Run the game as admin.
Update the game if it is the retail version, otherwise Steam will do it for you.
It's just a game, calm down.
 
haha it was urgent, its my only day off work and wanted as much time as pssible on the game:) Thanks for the replies and ive figured out you need to put your region in and then click search, my bad:-/ but play now still doesnt work.
