Hello guys! I was hoping to get some advice on this issue.

I've tried disconnecting all USB devices and still get the error. I tried step 2 by unplugging the USB connector from the motherboard and still get the error.

Could anyone advise me what to do next? I hear it might be motherboard issue after those steps. The motherboard is an Asus Tuf Gaming B560 Plus WiFi. It's only 1 year old so could be under warranty, although I don't think I registered the warranty when I purchased it and don't believe I have the receipt.

Is my only option to buy this motherboard again and rebuild the computer.

Or is there something else I could try?

Thanks.

Just realised I do have receipts as I purchased from here and it's in my history. Not sure if I can still use it to activate a warranty. And if it was under warranty then how hard or easy is the process to get another, and would it take a long time?

Assuming you have physically checked all of the USB ports for any bent pins, moisture (e.g. spilt drink) or any dust/fluff stuck in the ports?

You could try taking the motherboard out of the case (on a non-conductive surface e.g. motherboard box), and setting it up with the absolute minimum of devices connected e.g. just motherboard/cpu/cooler, 1 stick of RAM, PSU, Graphics card (if you don't have integrated graphics), boot drive and just a keyboard and mouse.

If it still does it, then it's likely a motherboard fault, if not then it could be a short between the motherboard and case (or even something as obscure as the I/O shield around the ports being bent/not properly installed and shorting something).

i had this error on my dark hero x570 when i first built, the problem was the usb-c headder was plugged in backwards and i had damaged the socket, luckly the pins were straight so i had no shorts, soon as i unplugged the front pannel usb-c cable the board booted up and it was fine, though i did loose front usb-c, if the board is still not working after you have disconnecetd the cables there may be more damage, try as @Armageus sugests above, hopefully you'll get some life out of the board, if not try a rma or look to buy a replacment if warranty isnt honored
