Very little PC Knowledge.
Bought A veno Scorp PC setup on ebay for £190 as I needed some Rome 2 in my life, works slow but works.

Was watching a lot of squad online and bought It on steam Graphics card wouldnt run it. (Done the rate my PC) looked for the first 2nd hand GPU got A windforce GTX 770. Yesterday arrived put it in came to my first problem POWER so done some research thought buy A Cable plug it in this is where I am at and been at it for hours. Thought time too ask some people who know what they are doing. (Apologize for the long speel but want you to be up to speed on proceedings) this is where I am at.

Also think Ive bought the wrong cable

From my understanding I need A new motherboard here ( but my understanding isnt very good) just want it working as cost effective as possible then im never opening it again (EVER).

Hi and welcome to the forums :)

A good starting point would be to post your system specifications as it will likely give us more information to know what you're dealing with.

You can use something like: https://www.ccleaner.com/speccy which will give you a report of all the significant components.

A photo of the case / power supply might help with regards to the power cabling issue, if there are no obvious brand/model, although it may be as simple as the spare cables being tucked out of the way behind the motherboard tray.

Alright my man.

Im using my phone at the moment and cant put a photo on here on it,as the case is switched out at the moment let me change the old GPU back in and ill do this, much appreciated.

I'd recommend watching some tutorials online on how to build a PC. It's way easier than you might think.

Then sell the Veno Scorp, buy parts on a similar budget, and build one. You'll get better price to performance that way

Should be them photos there if not let me know, Apologise for being A complete Noob at this.
You can upload images to a free hosting site like imgur- then copy paste the bb code (iirc) into a message and it’ll plop the images in for you. Just make sure they ain’t silly large in size.

So I think the issue is basically that the power supply doesn't have any pcie power connectors. So I guess there are a few options:

1. Replace the power supply (it looks like the mobo is using standard connectors...) with something like this (NB PSU stock seems really bad at the moment for some reason): https://www.overclockers.co.uk/supe...0-plus-gold-power-supply-black-ca-004-sf.html

2. Get a newer graphics card that can run on motherboard slot power only like a GTX 1650 (this should run squad on low settings I think).

3. As above just sell this pc and buy a different one or build your own (from second hand parts given the budget).

Fwiw I'm not sure what the best option is... I might lean towards getting a new PSU (you could alway use this in a future build if you decide to replace the rrst of the pc a year down the line...), but then building a new pc would be more satisfying and should perform a fair bit better if you can get some newer components in it (although haven't looked at second hand prices much recently so not sure how much you'd need to spend tbh). Probably depends a little bit how much money you are happy spending on it.

That PC is ancient, it isn't playing Squad, give up on that idea.

Don't spend any money on that PC. The PC will end up in the bin soon so you'd be throwing money away.

If you want to play modern games save up about £1.5k for a new PC then ask again what to buy.

I don't think that's very helpful. It should run Squad, even if it won't be the smoothest experience in the world. There are people on this thread with similar cpus able to run it fine: https://steamcommunity.com/app/393380/discussions/6/2245552086105431186/

And you'd only be throwing money away by spending money on this pc if you literally threw any replacement components in the bin rather than selling them on again when the time comes to get rid of it.

The starting price for building a gaming pc from brand new current/previous generation components is more like £800 not £1.5k.

If you have done the spec checker then you will know that min spec is a 4GB GPU and you have a 2GB GPU!

You have: 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 710

Miin specs: Graphics: Geforce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 with at least 4 GB of VRAM

You missed the bit where he bought a gtx 770 though, even if performance with that might still be iffy... (presumably one of the 4gb ones).
