Hello. So I cae in to turn my PC tonight at around midnight and Im still here trying to get the bloody thing to boot. The 1st time I tried to boot it would just go through the motions of

checking memory( OK)

listingdevices (OK)

then it would goto the splash screen ( I think thats what its called) then I would get a message

Scan devices please wait
No disk attached????

Then it just reboots and continues ike this on a loop

Now earlier I was messing with my Sound card and I thought I had maybe knocked one of the SATA cables from one of my 2 HD's s when I tried to boot I would get a boot menu like you do when on a dual boot system so I went into MSCONFIG and deleted the boot option that wasnt being used and then I set the boot option that was being used to default. No before you say anything I am sure I deleteted the correct one.

I also tried booting from either one of my 2 HD's but it still wont boot.
After many a reboot I decided to try and repair the boot manager by using my Win 7 Ultimate CD so I pop it in the drive and set the PC to boot from CD. It doesnt want to boot from cd, I have tried multiple times with multiple changes to the bios and it will not boot from cd.

I also tried creating a bootable USB stick using RMprep and Ultimate boot CD in the hope that this maybe able to repair my boot manager (if thats whats wrong) but my PC refuses to boot from USB also.

Help please. Its late (early) Im tired and very very P'd off

Have you got any external devices connected via USB if so unplug them and try booting
up the system this including keyboard and mouse as sometimes this can effect a boot up.

If the system boots up when those devices have been removed and all other USB devices
have been removed then you can just plug then back in when you have booted and they
will work fine.

Failing that I would probably do something like clearing the BIOS and see if that works.
Remove the battery from you board for about 5 minutes and then put it back in and this
will reset the BIOS settings be aware if you have any overclocks this will clear those
overclocks but you can restore them if you have them saved to a profile.

Let me know how you get on mate.

Tried all of the above and still no joy. I'm sure its to do with the boot menu but if I can't boot from a disk/usb then I'm not sure how to fix it???

Take everything out of the case and put it back in. Sounds like something isn't seated right. If that doesn't work then reset your bios

Tried to start the PC with the mobo outside the case. Still no luck also reset the bios a few times same result?????

I'm also not sure if its a boot menu problem now. I removed all my HDs and installed an old IDE HD with XP on it that I know works but Im still stuck in the boot loop

I cannot enter safe mode in the bios either
