HELP! please with a cherry on top

should I go for a evga gtx470 sc and mabe go sli in future or should I get a gtx580 now or should I wait ?
BTW its a fresh build and I'm a NVIDIA fan boy!

All the 580's out now are reference models aren't they? The manufacturers should be bringing out the their own coolers and overclocked versions shortly so I'd personally wait for them if you intend to do a bit of overclocking yourself - providing you can afford them.

Not that the 580 really needs overclocking of course and the reference vapour chamber cooling seems decent enough.

If your an Nvidia fanboy you have to get a pair, or even better a trio of GTX580's now ! so you can enjoy some CullDa and FizzX in Free-D.

Get a GTX580.

Depends what you're playing now and what you're planning on playing over the next few months surely?? ...as well as gaming res.

if what you're playing isn't all that demanding the gtx 460 will probably be fine.. save your money until the 28nm gfx cards hit the scenese.. i think that's going to herald a nice 'golden' era for gfx cards *he hopes*
