hi guys im a tad stuck on setting these up ive used the x2 5 metere cables to connect the side speakers but unsure on what cables i use now to plug into my pc for 2.1 audio please help.

ive got 3 cables left and they are x1 2 meter signel input cable , x1 2 meter mini jack input cable and a speaker to line level adaptor cable.

I am asuming the cable with 2 plugs to 1 goes to the pc and the 2 plugs go in left right on back of the sub but wont thats only give 2.0 audio wont it.

ok think ive sorted it guys but one issue the two plu into 1 plug cable is a tad short anyone recommend something longer pls, Also anyone know why only getting audio from right speaker?

5m x2 speaker cables from the Aego M sub to the satellite speakers (L & R)

The cable with the two RCA plugs connects the sub to the PC and at 2m I would have thought it would be plenty long enough if you are using it at a desk.

it is for pc hehe yes biggggg desk still getting sound from right side only and when pc off noticable hum from the sub

If you're only getting sound from one speaker, then either there's a connection problem, or a fault with the speakers somewhere.

The input cable you want to use, is the 2x RCA/phono plug to 3.5mm jack. Here's a 3m one, if the included one is too short.

Check the connections. You are using the spring clips for the left speaker, and not the centre one by accident? Also, do you have the RCA plug connected to the left channel input, and not centre by accident?

If the cable are connected to the right sockets, check the speaker cable connection from the subwoofer to the left satellite. Make sure the polarity is the same both ends and that the copper wire has a good clean contact within the spring clip. Maybe the plastic sheath has been pushed inside?

If all that's fine, then another possibility is that the included input cable is faulty. If you still get sound from only one speaker with a new one, the only other conclusion is that the speaker themselves are faulty.

Thanks Mars yeah just tried messing with cables again making sure only metal going into the spring clips and same result m8. Ive opened a RMA about them im very gutted after all the good reviews ive seen, Even spoke to AE on twitter and they said the hum from the sub is normal lol well thats rubbish design then who wants a humming noise when pc is off that you can hear over the tv in the living room.

OK update guys all sorted was the cable from the sub to pc that was dodgy new longer one arrived today and the problems have been fixed full audio both sides and the buzzing from sub has stopped :)

Glad the problem was nothing more than a dodgy cable.

Although AE mentioned there is supposed to be a hum (which there is, as you will get that with many speakers with a built in amp to some degree), the hum you were hearing was not the same and sounds like it was far worse. The hum you're supposed to get is a kind of hum you only really hear when putting your ear close to where the amp is housed. It's likely the faulty cable was introducing electrical noise.
