Guys,

I've decided to go water cooling as I'm fed up with the constant droning of my GTX580 spinning up when everything is on ultra. My aim is to end up with something like this :-

I'm either going to use a NZXT Switch 810 or more likely a second hand Corsair Obsidian 800D (I'm scouring the OC MM forum). What I want to know though is what WC components are used in that picture of the NZXT as thats exactly what I want to achieve i.e. understated not 'bling bling' like the kids seem to prefer ;)

Input welcome.

there is no point trying to match the picture component-for-component as they are using 3 graphics cards which will put out a lot more heat that your 1

also, i dont recognize that pump, it looks like a longer d5, where as a d5 would be perfect if not overkill for your needs

It look slike a d5 with a tube res top on its side.

That build is sweet. but I would look at your case first and go from there with budget etc.

Panyan - I've got 2 x 580's (sig not updated) and simply liked the clean layout of this rig. If I knew what connectors and piping they had used, I would see of OC could get some that was all. As much as I like the look of the nzxt, I'm going to see if I can get an 800D on the members market and start with that.

Good choice; the 800D was build for WC :D

AH! i see now, yes, thats what it is

the rig in your sig looked like it would put out a lot less heat than this rig which is why i didnt see any point in going with so many rads/fans and uprated pump (now identified as a d5 :p)

anyway, the fittings look like koolance fittings and quick-disconnects and the tubing is just a shiny black tubing with anti-kink coils

and the 800D is great :D

May I ask how you have access to the members market? I was looking forward to having access, now I'm over 250 posts... Only to find out the goal posts moved, and now you need 1000! :(

I think at one point it was either 250 posts over 90 days or 100 posts over 12 months, which has now changed to 1000 posts over 180 days.
