Help Please with Increase Client.

Hi,

Im new to this part of the forums, decided i would have a go at FAH on my macbook pro.

So i followed the sticky and have installed Increase put my name and team number '10' into the app but then nothing, how do i start folding.

you may find most people will probably tell you not to bother folding on a laptop/macbook. The extra heat and low points value it's really not worth folding on laptops etc.

If you must then someone will answer your main question i'm sure!

AFAIK you can't use increase with the macSMP client. You have to set it up separately. It certainly never used to work, anyway.

Whether you fold on it or not is up to you really. I used to, but it really cooked my MBP and I had to run the fans much faster all of the time. I stopped after a few months but it's knackered the fans, as they're much more noisy now than before. If you are going to run FaH then you'll need smcFanControl, so that you can get your temperatures down and avoid cooking your wrists.
