help please with q6600 purchase

hi

im currently running an athlon x2 3800+ at 2.5ghz. after the price drops on 22nd july im thinking of buying a core2quad q6600 (games pc only - for crysis etc)

i would like to overclock if possible to say 3ghz which would be nice speeds even for games that dont use all threads

can someone recommend a board/memory/psu/cooler to go with this chip and if i can expect speeds like 3ghz from the chip if i follow the overclock guides?
i would prefer to keep budget as low as poss so not most expensive kit

No overclock is guaranteed. 3ghz on a quad is within reach on air though.
