Hi there can anyone help please ,i am unsure about getting a widescreen tft Monitor ,as i,m not really a gamer ,but i do like to watch DVD films ,is it worth getting one for this ? i,m looking at this model ..any views ..

Viewsonic VX1935WM 19" Widescreen LCD (1440x900) 5ms DVI Monitor

i'd agree with that. If you can stretch to the 20" version, the 2025WM then you get a bigger screen and resolution. More importantly though, you'd move away from the limited TN Film technology, to the more superior P-MVA panel of the 20" model. For movies this would be really good since it offers a much better black depth, smoother, less noisy movie playback, and most notably much wider viewing angles. :)

Thxs i,m looking into this ,i came up with this model too ,its the same res as the viewsonic 2025 20inch is it any good ? its slightly cheaper.

LG Electronics L204WT 20" Widescreen LCD Silver

The LG has a TN panel (hence the price) so you don't get the better viewing angles of the MVA panel in the VX2025wm.

just a standard DVI-D > DVI-D cable would do the job, only about £10 really
