Firstly not sure if this is the correct area to post in, so apologies upfront if its wrong

Now, please dont laugh as I am not clever with computer mechanics whatsoever

I decided that i would tidy things up and went into th add/remove programs in XP and deleted a few things that i have used 'rarely'

Now my speakers wont work or anything and any sort of notification for anything is a 'beep'

cant play musice , nothing. I went into norton recycle bin and tried to see something obvious but being a bit of a thicky biscuit i cant see anything.

I have looked in my installation disks that came with my computer a couple of years ago and nothing seems obvious there too.

Can someone please advice in the most basic way possible?

Many thanks

matt

Defiantly sounds like you have uninstalled your sound drivers.

Download and install this

I am guessing that you have onboard sound here. Although if you dont you may need a different driver, but try that one first.
