system still wont boot, i have a s3 patched to a ds3 f7.....which cured my problems last time.

s3/ds3 is supposed to turn off and on when you boot up, my pc currently just boots on full fan settings and sits there, with no video output.

im baffled.

taken it all out, checked it, put 1 stick of ram in, and it booted all the way to the windows xp login screen, where just before that it froze with a blank screen, rebooted and same problem. checked the other stick, doesnt boot.

i have no idea what to do other than get the pc shop to do it (what i did last time) however i have to wait 3 weeks to do so. last time it happened they told me it worked out of luck, and didnt charge me.

faulty motherboard ?

ok something really wierd has happened.....

i took the ram out plugged it back in (both sticks)

turned it on, it ran on full speed, rebooted all of a sudden, then crashed, i pressed reset, and its booted perfectly.

and now it shows desktop, msn has logged me out of my laptop and logged in on that, but my mouse and keyboard wont make it do anything, however my mouse is flashing (deathadder) so it is recognised and powered.

so i dont know what it could be now ?

i just rebooted, got into bios, turned on usb keyboard and mouse, went to set priority of hard disk and it froze, and now when i reboot nothing happens......

could it be a bad bios battery ?

update : got it running it randomly worked yesturday, reinstalled usb drivers, had to put mouse in different usb slot, then back into the same one for razer to pick it up.

then 4 hours of bf2 later it froze. rebooted, and now it doesnt work again.

nothing changed hardware wise.

so i have no idea how the bios could reset itself (and not work) (the tt120 fan cant be adjusted by the nob on the back, so i know the bios has changed) without me moving it ?

could it be a flatish bios battery ?
