HELP PLEASE!

My desktop has just froze, so i reset it and now...nothing

fans start it makes one long bleep, then fans stop and i keeps trying to boot but nothing happens

going to take RAM out and try but what else could it be?

dodgy stick of ram

this is the second time im going to have to send my ram back for replacement

know how you feel

i have an old pentium 3 spare pc with a dodgy ram stick but on mine it will just randomly freeze, i resart, i hav 256 mb left (lost 128 mb) then it gives me my 128 back the next time i switch it on

its completly dead that stick, this is the second times its happened though using crucial ballistix, i RMAd a pairing about 5 months ago and its happened again
