Help Please!

Hi i just built my second system i have put it on together power it on and the screen is blank. I have tried both onboard and the new ATI 4870. There are no beeps all the fan are spinning there is power in the cd drive as i can open and close it. The only thing i can see wrong is that the hard drive and power light are not working on the front but I beleiev this is due to the mobo and my case because the case has a HDD I and a HDD 2 light and the mobo onyl has room for one. Also the power led only powers the little tiny light saying that there is power in my pc (not the normal one when it is turned on) The mobo has a light on it to say it is one as to does the 4870.

OK i just tested my new ram and graphics card in my old mobo it boots and i can see the screen i cant test it in windows but it seems to be ok all deteced in bios

stupid question but something my flatmate missed..

Have you connected the mini atx power cable as well as the 24pin power cable?

i am using a antec p182 so you dont need standoffs it has nipples to screw into but i have used the case before for my old setup and it was fine. i think i might be that the current bios version doesnt support the new CPU but if it doesnt i am buggered i dont have thermal paste ect to put old one in.

Managed to get by hands n some thermal stuff installed new bios and it worked
