Help please

Hey guys, i recently brought a Core i7/mobo/ram from overclockers.

built the system up, but would not boot up (boots up half power for 2 secs, then powers down and repeats).

strangely the pc will boot up full power with on the 24 pin inserted only, but nothing would display.

took the pc to a computer shop, they tested the psu and said it was fine and suggested it was the mobo fault.

sent the mobo back to OC and they said the mobo is fine

what else can i try now??

would the cpu or ram be at fault??

Are you running it in the case? Or are you testing it out of case?
What other components are plugged in?

i've tested it outside the case. that was 2 weeks back, now i got to wait till monday b4 i get my mobo back from OC

plugged in RAM, GPU, PSU,
even tested with 1 ram inserted and still same symtoms

Mobo = gigabyte UD3
RAM = Patriot 6gb

when the mobo comes back, i'll give it another try.

... this is a long shot, but i've been tryin to fink of the problem.

For the power LED light connector, it originally came in a 3 pin connector (positive, empty, negative)
I had to pull out the negative and plug it into the middle one. (I hope this makes sense)

If they dont make perfect contact with the mobo, could this cause the problem??

750w Bequiet is my new one.
I even tried my 600w OCZ.

there must be something i missed out, i will give it another shot on monday. Its just doing my head in
