FIXED NOW, THANKS!

Hey guys,

Got a new Asus Xonar DX, set it all up with the latest drivers on Windows 7, but no sound. All turned on, I've checked the obvious solutions but to no avail.

Here's a screenie of music playing, all the lil bars jumping up and down etc. but I'm not hearing anything...

Ideas please?

speakers plugged in FULLY?

turned on at the mains?

volume control on the speakers turned up?

Yup, changing to the onboard jack and setting the default speakers to the 3rd one on the list gives me sound :confused:

Reaaaaally don't get what's wrong here!

you tried other outputs on sound card?

mine allows me to pick which one is the output.

Tried plugging into each of them and still no luck.

You say the sound works when you plug the speakers into the onboard - tried disabling the onboard sound in the BIOS yet?

Yup, doesn't change anything, just removes the options for it from the sound menu

FIXED: Stulid was right, I just didn't understand what he said until I did it myself. Changed output from 2 speakers to 5.1 and bam, we have sound!
