ok have now got my ssd and full version of windows ready to load on to it, is there anything in particular i need to do with the drive before i load windows, im keeping my original hard drive as a secondary drive so i will need to format that i guess could anyone remind me how to do it please? i seem to remember the command being 'format c' but has been such a long time since i last did it. and finally would i be better off just loading windows and games on the ssd and leave all the boring stuff for the other drive.
thanks in advance!
wayne.

go into the BIOS and set the SATA controller from IDE to AHCI, then set the boot device priority to your optical drive first, new SSD second.

Insert the windows disk and it will say "press any key to boot from disk" and then just follow the on screen instructions.

Never ever defrag a SSD drive. so disable this feature when windows has finished its thing.
