Help please

Hey,

I have just completed my build. But have an issue...

its an i5 with P8 P67 PRO motherboard and Crucial 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz Ballistix Memory Kit CL8(8-8-8-24) 1.65V Unbuffered Non-ECC

The motherboards DRAM light comes on. After following the manual I have tried the memory test button on the motherboard but the light stays on.

2nd issue there isnt any picture but thats prob because the ram isn't working

Have you tried booting with just one stick of RAM installed? Also have you got the RAM installed in the correct coloured slots?

yeah tryied each ram module on it's own. Also tried them in different slots..

would you get an image onscreen if the ram wasnt working or compatible ?

If the RAM wasn't compatible or faulty then the machine won't POST meaning no display.

ok what can i try now any ideas ?

or should I buy ram thats actualy listed on the compatible list

Just come of the phone with ASUS what a joke lol..

The woman on the other end of the phone didn't have a clue. I told her the motherboard model and then she was like "oh hold on sir I will give you a URL" turns out without knowing what the fault is they ask you to return it to them lol

oh well it's all packaged up and ready to go lets see what they say
