Ok I got a new ssd and a gtx 670 coming tomorrow so I opened up my pc .

The reservoir had only about 1 cm of fluid in it so I thought , **** it i'll order some fluid.

I undid the cable ties and carefully removed pipes and caught all the fluid.

I have put it together minus the clips as I wasn't sure of hose size so ordered a variety from oc.

Now when it arrives I realised I have no idea what doing (I didn't fit the cooling system I bought it with it in)

So do I just fill the res with fluid and turn it on and keep filling ?

It's an xspc res , does it do it all it's self , how much fluid should go in in total?

How do I know it's full ? What about air locks ? If it goes wrong anybody local (Kent) that can be paid to sort it out for me !!!

Bit outta my comfort zone here !

tbh what i would do when all fitted is fill it as much as u can buy moving the case untill u have hardly any air in the res . find the highest point in your loop either with the case in its normal position or on its side and then top up from that point does the res have a plug you can top up from ?

i usually run for 2-3 secs switch of and recheck then top up from there..
but have a res at the top of my loop so its easy to do it all with an open resevoir.

however u can disconect you mobo power supply cable and bridge the psu supply to run the pump etc without powering up your cpu or anything else

or

find another 12v power source and run the pump from that without turning on the pc to see if the system is full and there are no leaks any old 12v supply will do just connect your pump to it
