help please

Hey guys just woundering if you could help me
I bought an xigmatek asgard pro case for my build and I can find where 1 of the pannel wires go it to the mother bord
My mob is an asus p8z77-vlx2 and I dno where the ac 97 wire from the fron pannel goes into mob
Sorry I haven't posted any links just on my phone due to no internet in the house

Look in the mobo manual, gives you very clear instructions where everything goes, even has pictures of the mobo.

Hint: bottom lefthand side of the mobo.

I would think the header would be called 'Audio' or something along those lines, located on the bottom left. The header housing on the mobo would be green, blue maybe...! Would be different to the rest.

Can you post a high-res pic of your mobo? Google images should help!

It is on the same cable as the hd audio and an its called the case ac 97 connector

You don't need to plug that in. AC97 is an audio connector, just like the HDA (HD Audio) connector. You plug it into the same place you would plug the HDA connector (the audio header) on older motherboards which don't support HD Audio and use the old Realtek AC97 audio codec.

My HDA connector is plugged in, the AC97 connector sits there un-used.
