Help please

Son just bought the components for his new computer, just finished putting it together, switch on, fans turn, no graphics, no sound from motherboard (beeps)
checked everything again, memory reseated, graphic card reseated, checked all the connections and all seems ok. Anyone got any further suggestions ?
spec is AMD piledriver, gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 motherboard and 8 gig mem,600w corsair power supply.

It's plugged in have taken it out and rechecked it can'y see a problem with it. What Im worried about it wont even put up any graphics, do's not put up the bios screen, just a black screen, we know the card is ok, just came out of his old computer.

havent reset cmos, 6 pin card pluged in
