I have a watercooled graphics card 2 of the fan blades have snaped can i unplug the fan from the graphics card and still use it because when it is pluged in it vibrates the pc and make's it loud and noise

When you say water cooled, are the in a custom loop or are they hybrid?

Don't know what graphics card it is the pc was given to me and it has like copper pipe going in and out its not a watercooled system

If you want to add pictures, upload them to an image hosting website and use the IMG tags to post them.

It sounds like you've damaged the fans and if they are un-usable, they will need yto be removed. You may need to replace the fans or cooler depending on the damage. 3rd party cooling options are available!

Go to Start > Run and type in DXDIAG and look at the display 1 tab. It will tell you there.

Ok. Not really worth repairing unless you really want too, I'd get a new card. Do you have a budget to do so?

in all honesty its probably not worth the repair. you could buy a new better card for less than 50 quid

Do u know how much a new fan is because that all whats broke and my son is only got a bit of money and he wants a stunt scooter

Don't bother repairing it, it will cost you more than a new card. You can get another 4870 for about £20, its not worth it. For £50, you can get a better card as Dave pointed out!!

I agree, you can get a much better card for the price you will pay to fix it.
